In a continued effort to support the surrounding community and California organizations, Performance Roofing is proud to announce its joint work with the Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. With the help of other generous and like-minded contractors, Habitat for Humanity oversaw the construction of three new homes in Yorba Linda using a unique model that allows for families of varying incomes. The homes were the first of their kind in Orange County to use this model and were received well in the community. Performance Roofing donated all three Eagle concrete roofs for the project.
“We are very grateful to the city of Yorba Linda for partnering with us to build affordable homes in our first ‘Mixed‐Income Model’ for hardworking families,” said Sharon Ellis, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. “These are our first Habitat homes in Yorba Linda and the first homes for moderate income families to be built by our affiliate.”
The size and design of the homes are consistent with the surrounding Yorba Linda community. All three homes are two‐story with three bedrooms and either 1‐1/2 or 2‐1/2 baths. They include attached two‐car garages, front porches, and stone veneer accents to ensure these homes will be attractive and appropriate for the City of Yorba Linda. Landscaping has been professionally designed, with plans to include a tree in each front yard and meandering walkways to create a warm and welcoming pedestrian guest entry.
